MAJOR WANTS
THE SCOTTSBORO BOYS
February 2015 ~ London
Brandon Victor Dixon (Haywood Patterson), Julian Glover (The Interlocutor), Dawn Hope (The Lady), Joshua Da Costa (Roy Wright), Colman Domingo (Mr Bones), Emmanuel Kojo (Clarence Norris), James T Lane (Ozie Powell/Ruby Bates), Dex Lee (Charles Weems/Victoria Price), Forrest Mcclendon (Mr Tambo), Keenan Munn-Francis (Eugene Williams), Rohan Pinnock-Hamilton (Olen Montgomery), Emile Ruddock (Willie Roberson), Carl Spencer (Andy Wright). Brilliant show. Missing the first minute, but otherwise well-filmed. There are rare moments where there is a head at the bottom of the screen, but it doesn’t last for long and nothing much is missed. Great close-ups and wide-shots for choreography. Includes curtain call.

Angelica Torn. (Angelica Torn is the daughter of Geraldine Page and Rip Torn). Award-winning one-woman show about Sylvia Plath, written by Paul Alexander. Sylvia Plath was, undoubtedly, a fascinating woman who led a fascinating, if brief, life. She wrote beautiful, emotional poetry about her tumultuous relationship with her family, her father's pointless death when she was eight, her suicide attempts, and her violently passionate (and passionately violent) marriage to Ted Hughes. At age 30, she finally succeeded in killing herself, making her abusive husband wealthy with posthumous sales of her poetry and books. A little shaky at times, and some heads appear in the frame occasionally. A-
